These Terms & Conditions govern purchases made through https://power-generator.uk.

Please read them carefully before placing an order.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

2. Our Contract With You

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected.

Following checkout, you will normally receive an order acknowledgement confirming that we have received your order.

This acknowledgement does not necessarily constitute acceptance of your order.

A legally binding contract is normally formed when we accept your order by dispatching the goods and issuing a dispatch confirmation, unless we expressly confirm acceptance earlier.

We reserve the right to decline an order before acceptance where:

A product is unavailable or cannot be supplied.
Payment authorisation is unsuccessful.
An obvious pricing or product information error has occurred.
We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.
Delivery cannot be arranged to the address supplied.
The order cannot reasonably be fulfilled.

If payment has already been collected and we are unable to accept your order, we will issue a full refund of the amount paid.

We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.

Our product range includes petrol, diesel, inverter, dual-fuel, silent, standby and industrial generators, together with associated equipment and accessories.

Product specifications are generally supplied or verified using information provided by the relevant manufacturer or distributor.

Manufacturers may occasionally update product designs, components, specifications or packaging.

Where changes are material to the product ordered, we will inform you and provide appropriate options before supplying a substitute.

Product photographs are intended to represent the goods accurately, although minor cosmetic or packaging variations may occur.

Where a particular specification, connection, output rating or feature is essential to your intended application, we recommend contacting our team before ordering.

Nothing in this section limits your rights to receive goods that match their description and meet applicable legal standards.

4. Prices, VAT & Payment Transparency

All prices on our website are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP).

For purchases by consumers, applicable VAT-inclusive prices must be clearly displayed before purchase.

Where both excluding-VAT and including-VAT prices are provided, the VAT-inclusive amount will be identifiable.

The final checkout total will show the applicable product price, VAT where relevant, and any delivery charges before payment is confirmed.

We do not apply undisclosed delivery charges after checkout.

We take reasonable steps to maintain accurate pricing.

If an obvious pricing error is identified before an order is accepted, we will contact you to explain the error and offer the option of proceeding at the corrected price or cancelling for a full refund.

Nothing in these terms allows us to impose an additional charge after a contract has been formed without your agreement.

5. Payment

Payment is normally required in full at checkout unless alternative payment terms have been expressly agreed in writing.

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.

Payments may be securely processed by third-party payment providers.

We do not normally store complete payment card details on our own systems.

Orders may be delayed or declined where payment cannot be authorised.

Where a payment has been taken for an order that we cannot accept, the amount paid will be refunded.

6. Stock Availability & Supplier Fulfilment

Power Generator UK operates through a combination of:

Products held in our own warehouse and distribution facilities.
Products supplied directly by established UK manufacturers.
Products fulfilled by UK distributors and approved supply partners.

We do not necessarily hold every product advertised on our website physically within our own warehouse.

Depending on the product, your order may be dispatched from our facilities or directly from a manufacturer or distributor.

Regardless of the dispatch location, Leader Pro Ltd remains the retailer responsible for your order and your statutory rights.

We aim to ensure that stock availability and lead times are accurately represented on our website.

Where products are available for pre-order, subject to extended lead times, or require specialist manufacture or preparation, relevant information will be communicated before purchase.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact you promptly to explain the situation and offer appropriate options, including cancellation and a full refund where we cannot fulfil the order.

7. Delivery & Shipping

Free England & Wales Delivery

We offer FREE standard delivery (£0.00) to qualifying addresses throughout England and Wales.

Regional Delivery Surcharges

Additional delivery charges apply to specified destinations in:

Scotland and the Scottish Highlands.
Scottish Islands and remote locations.
Northern Ireland.
Isle of Man.
Channel Islands.

Regional delivery rates and applicable postcode areas are published in our Delivery & Shipping Policy.

All applicable delivery charges are displayed before checkout is completed.

Order Processing

In-stock orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1–2 working days following payment confirmation.

Some manufacturer-direct, distributor-direct and specialist equipment orders may require additional processing time.

Where an extended lead time is known, this will be communicated before purchase.

Estimated Delivery Times

The following standard transit estimates apply after dispatch:

These transit estimates exclude the usual 1–2 working day processing period.

Delivery times are estimates unless a specific delivery date or timeframe has been expressly agreed.

Delivery Methods

Depending on the size and weight of the equipment, deliveries may be made by parcel courier, pallet freight network or dedicated commercial vehicle.

Larger generators are generally delivered to a safe and accessible kerbside or hard-standing area.

Customers should inform us of known access restrictions before dispatch.

Delayed Delivery

We will make reasonable efforts to meet the agreed delivery timeframe and communicate material delays.

Where no specific delivery timeframe has been agreed, consumer orders will normally be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being formed, unless a longer period has been agreed.

If we fail to deliver within the legally required or agreed timeframe, consumers may have rights to require delivery within an additional appropriate period or cancel the contract in accordance with applicable law.

Where cancellation is legally justified because of non-delivery, we will provide the refund required by law.

Risk During Delivery

For consumer purchases, responsibility for loss of or damage to the goods normally remains with us until the goods come into the physical possession of you or a person identified by you.

Different rules may apply where you independently arrange a carrier not offered by us.

8. Receiving & Inspecting Goods

We recommend inspecting goods and packaging promptly upon delivery.

If you notice visible transit damage, please:

Record the damage on the carrier's delivery documentation where possible.
Take photographs of the packaging and damaged goods.
Contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

We kindly request that transit damage is reported within 48 hours where practical, helping us investigate the issue with the delivery provider.

This is a request only and does not restrict your statutory consumer rights.

Failure to report damage within 48 hours does not automatically invalidate a legitimate claim for damaged, faulty or misdescribed goods.

9. Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you purchase goods online as a consumer, you normally have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to applicable exemptions.

Where an order consists of multiple goods delivered separately, the cancellation period will normally run from receipt of the last item.

You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your statutory cancellation right.

After notifying us of cancellation, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

We also offer a 30-day returns policy, subject to the conditions explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Our additional returns policy does not replace or reduce statutory cancellation rights.

10. Returns & Refunds

Our full returns arrangements are explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

For a valid statutory change-of-mind cancellation, we will refund the payments required by law, including the cost of standard outbound delivery where applicable.

Additional delivery costs arising from a customer's choice of an enhanced delivery service need not be refunded beyond the applicable standard delivery cost.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Where a consumer exercises the statutory right to cancel, refunds will be issued within the legally required timeframe.

For goods being returned, we may withhold the refund until the goods are received back or evidence of their return is provided, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

Customers may be responsible for the direct cost of returning unwanted goods, provided this has been properly disclosed before purchase.

Where goods cannot normally be returned by post, applicable return collection cost information must be made available before purchase as required by law.

Where goods are faulty, misdescribed or otherwise fail to comply with the contract, we will meet our legal responsibilities, including reasonable return costs where applicable.

11. Generators That Have Been Fuelled or Oiled

Petrol and diesel generators require special handling due to fuel, lubricants and transportation safety requirements.

If you are considering returning a generator, we recommend that you do not add fuel or oil or operate the equipment until you are satisfied that it is suitable for your requirements.

Adding fuel or oil does not automatically remove statutory cancellation rights.

However, where goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, a lawful deduction for diminished value may apply.

Generators containing fuel may also require appropriate preparation and handling before safe return transportation.

We will provide relevant instructions where necessary.

Nothing in this section restricts your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods.

12. Faulty Goods & Statutory Consumer Rights

All products sold to consumers must comply with applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Goods must be:

Of satisfactory quality.
Fit for their intended or agreed purpose.
As described.

Where goods do not meet these requirements, consumers may be entitled to remedies including:

A short-term right to reject qualifying faulty goods, normally within 30 days.
Repair or replacement where applicable.
A price reduction or final right to reject in qualifying circumstances.

The remedy available depends on the circumstances and applicable law.

These statutory rights apply independently of any manufacturer's warranty.

Please contact us if you experience a problem with your generator or other equipment.

13. Manufacturer Warranties & After-Sales Support

Many generators sold through Power Generator UK include a manufacturer's warranty.

Warranty periods, coverage and servicing requirements vary depending on the manufacturer and product.

Manufacturer warranties may contain exclusions relating to:

Incorrect or contaminated fuel.
Incorrect oil or lubrication.
Failure to follow maintenance schedules.
Unauthorised modifications.
Misuse, neglect or accidental damage.
Operation contrary to manufacturer instructions.

We may assist customers with warranty enquiries and access to authorised UK service networks.

A manufacturer's warranty is additional to your statutory rights and does not replace our legal responsibilities as the retailer.

Customers are not required to rely solely on the manufacturer when exercising statutory rights against us.

14. Generator Safety & Responsible Use

Generators must be installed, operated, maintained and stored in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Engine-driven generators produce exhaust gases containing carbon monoxide, which is highly poisonous and can be fatal.

Never operate petrol or diesel generators inside enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces, including houses, garages, sheds, warehouses, caravans, tents or enclosed work areas.

Generators must only be operated in suitably ventilated outdoor locations in accordance with manufacturer safety guidance.

Generators must not be connected directly to a building's electrical installation without an appropriate, professionally designed and installed connection arrangement.

Where electrical installation or connection work is required, it should be undertaken by a suitably competent professional.

Customers should follow all applicable electrical, fuel storage and workplace safety requirements.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Installation & Commissioning

Unless expressly included in the product description or agreed quotation, the purchase price does not include:

Electrical installation.
Generator commissioning.
Automatic transfer switch installation.
Fuel supply.
Groundworks or foundations.
Site preparation.
Electrical distribution modifications.

Customers should ensure that the generator selected is appropriate for their intended application.

For standby, commercial and three-phase generators, we recommend obtaining suitable professional advice regarding electrical requirements, loading, installation and commissioning.

Where we provide specific written advice or agree that a product will meet a particular purpose, your applicable legal rights remain unaffected.

16. Special-Order & Bespoke Equipment

Certain generators and associated equipment may be manufactured, modified or configured to a customer's individual specifications.

Goods genuinely made to a consumer's specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from ordinary statutory change-of-mind cancellation rights.

This exemption does not automatically apply simply because a product is ordered from a supplier, is not held in our warehouse, or has an extended delivery time.

Where an applicable cancellation exemption exists, we will explain this before the order is placed.

Statutory rights concerning faulty, damaged, misdescribed or non-conforming goods remain unaffected.

17. Business Customers

Where products are purchased wholly or mainly for business purposes, different contractual and statutory provisions may apply.

Consumer distance-selling cancellation rights do not generally apply to business-to-business purchases.

Where we agree to accept a discretionary business return, the applicable conditions, handling charges and transport arrangements will be confirmed.

Business customers should ensure that products meet their commercial and technical requirements before ordering.

Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Our Liability to Consumers

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, we do not exclude or limit liability for:

Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Breach of statutory consumer rights.
Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Where we breach these terms or fail to exercise reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage arising from that breach.

Loss or damage is foreseeable where it was obvious that it might occur or where it was reasonably contemplated by both parties when the contract was formed.

Products supplied for domestic use are not normally intended for commercial applications unless otherwise specified.

We are not generally responsible to consumers for business losses arising from products purchased for domestic purposes, subject to applicable law.

19. Liability to Business Customers

For business-to-business purchases, we will not be liable, to the extent permitted by law, for indirect or consequential commercial losses, including:

Loss of profit.
Loss of revenue.
Loss of production.
Loss of contracts.
Loss of anticipated savings.
Business interruption.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Any additional liability limits agreed for a specific commercial transaction must be lawful, reasonable where required, and expressly incorporated into the relevant contract.

20. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We will not be responsible for failures or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control to the extent permitted by law.

Examples include:

Severe weather or flooding.
Fire or natural disasters.
Transport or courier network disruption.
Industrial action.
Government restrictions.
Manufacturer or supplier disruption.
Power or communications failures.

Where such events materially affect an order, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer and explain the available options.

This section does not remove any statutory rights relating to late delivery, cancellation, refunds or non-delivery.

21. Website Use & Intellectual Property

The content displayed on power-generator.uk, including branding, product descriptions, photographs, graphics, logos and website design, may be protected by intellectual property rights.

Such rights may belong to Leader Pro Ltd, manufacturers, distributors or other relevant rights holders.

Website content must not be reproduced or used commercially without appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.

Product brand names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

The sale of a manufacturer's products does not necessarily imply that Power Generator UK is the manufacturer or an exclusive distributor of those products.

We will not retrospectively impose material changes on an existing consumer contract without a lawful basis.

24. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Consumers residing elsewhere in the United Kingdom may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections applicable in their place of residence.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes any legal right a consumer may have regarding the courts in which a dispute can be brought.

For business customers, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction unless otherwise agreed in writing.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

The invalid provision will not affect the enforceability of the remaining terms.
